Cross Bar Ranch
Pg 2
This is Brad Black he is the Park Manager of Cross Bar Ranch. Brad is also a police officer with the City of Davis. I can tell you this be sure to follow the rules that are in place it is for your safety. Brad runs a tight ship, but this will ensure a great park to visit and ride at. Brad is a great guy and he just wants to make sure everyone stays safe. Just follow the rules, and you will have a good time.
This is the front of the entrance. There are a few things you must comply with before entering the park. First you must stop and check in at the main shack. Call Brad first if he is not at the front shack, before entering the park you have too sign a liability waiver. You must also where helmet and boots. I know most people don't and we usually don't either, but these trails are a real challenge and you can get into trouble real fast. Plus there are alot of overhanging branches, tree limbs, etc... that hang in the trails that will cut you up. There are numerous rattle snakes so be careful. Park rules do not allow for drinking and driving your ATV, so no alcohol while riding. I know this sounds extreme, but this isn't east texas slow mud riding, these trails can be very dangerous and you want your wits about you. Plus those are the rules.
Just a side note even though the sign says call the below number or proceed to the Ranch HQ and follow signs. There are no signs to Ranch HQ, basically thats Brad's house. My suggestion is too call Brad while you still are on I-35 just before you reach Exit 55. This will give Brad time to meet you at the entrance, incase he is somewhere on the property.
BOTTOM LINE CALL AHEAD OF TIME
These pictures are of the area it is beautiful. This park is amazing we couldn't believe we could ride it. Since it is so brand new you feel like you are the first person to ride in the park.
